'The Clear Voice Workshop'
An Abhinaya Intensive
The Clear Voice Approach is a two-day Abhinaya intensive with Karuna Sagari. The workshop invites participants to look closely at nuance, refine characterization through empathy rather than caricature, and work with subtlety that is clear, penetrating, and immersive.
At the heart of the intensive is Karuna Sagari’s "Clear Voice" Abhinaya, a framework of being, feeling, and saying that builds emotional worlds through suggestion, empathy, and attentive observation, with porous boundaries between nritta and Abhinaya.
Participants will engage with selected material from Karuna Sagari’s repertoire through visual references from art and nature, observation of human behaviour, poetry, and related reflection.

Learn to revisit and re-open familiar repertoire using observation, reflection, poetry, art, and lived experience as creative sources.

Build a personal working method to create emotionally rooted and authentic interpretation within pieces you already carry.
Eligibility
This intensive is meant for advanced learners. Applicants should have completed at least 1 Mārgam. Practitioners of other classical dance forms are also welcome.

3 months.

All applications will be reviewed carefully directly by Karuna Sagari and selected participants will be notified via email and sent the payment link and associated details.
